On our field trip Friday 5/10/08 we went to Charleston's Patriot's Point. My favorite parts were on the bus, In the submarine, and on the flight deck of the Yorktown. And at the York town we learned about some science and social studies.

    On the bus i played  Nintendo DS which was very fun! we played Mario kart DS off of another person's game.

    In the submarine we saw all kinds of machines and torpedoes. this was part of my favorites because i climbed up the little ladder in the sub and saw out the top. 

    The Flight deck was fun because we saw all kinds of planes and weapons(unarmed) decked on top of  the Yorktown 

    We also learned about some science and history. with science we learned about how erosion happens. In history we learned that the Yorktown was built by women and that it was built during the WWI and WWII.

I will define the terms mixtures and solutions. Mixtures are a combination of two or more materials. Solutions are a mixture that can not be separated.

Not all mixtures are solutions but all solutions are mixtures.

A solute is a substance in witch a solid can dissolve, A  Solvent is the material that will dissolve the solute.

When we say a solution is saturated it means it can't dissolve any more  solute.

We know that a solution is saturated when it can not dissolve any more of the solute. 

Blog 1: Leo is the main character and his best friend's name is Kevin. They go to Mica Area High School. A new girl comes and her name is Stargirl. Stargirl is an unusual girl. Whenever she finishes eating she plays an ukulele. She stays out in the rain while everyone else is inside the gym.

Blog 2: Star Girl goes to a football game and she is the person on the field and she was working for the Band. There were few people at the first game. The second game there were over 1,000 people there. Stargirl is invited to join the cheerleaders. She decided to join. The cheerleaders practiced and practiced. Hillary Clinton told Stargirl not to sing to her. Stargirl did not sing to Hillary, instead she sung to Leo. Leo and Kevin walked over to Archie's house an old man that has lost his wife. He is like a teacher. He told the boys about Stargirl.

blog 3: a note was posted on the school bulletin board and it had a new pledge written on it. a girls grand father dies and star girl is at the get together afterwards and is kicked out by a mom. a little boy breaks his ankle and he gets a blood cod and he goes to have surgery. when he gets back he finds a new bike in the front yard and it causes a fuss through the family.

blog 4: Stargirl started cheering the basketball teams each time the ball went through the net. They went to a basketball game somewhere else. the other cheerleaders said they left something in the gym and then Stargirl went to get it. then the cheerleaders said that everyone is on the bus. Then Stargirl went on hot seat. The jury in hot seat started to ask questions about her. The next game she only cheered for their team.

blog 5: Leo and Stargirl become boyfriend/girlfriend. Then Stargirl takes Leo to the desert.

blog6: Leo and Stargirl run off into the desert. Then they try to do nothing. After they see people staying away from them.

Blog 7: Leo and Stargirl eat at their house and admit they are boyfriend/girlfriend. I predict that Leo will continue to like Stargirl. They kissed in front of Stargirl's House. Leo and Stargirl follow people around and find out what kind of card they needed.

Blog 8:Toward the end of the book Leo chooses membership in his peer group over his affection for Stargirl what is your opinion of this choice?Why? I say he made a stupid decision on his choice. He should have stayed with his affection for Stargirl because she would actually have cared back for him unlike his peers.
