Dear Mr.Bosch,

        I am having a great summer but i miss all of you guys so  much. 5th grade and kindergarten were honestly the best years of my life. I had a great year and it went by so very fast. I hope i get to see you again soon. At graduation, i had a great time but i was a little nervous but it was still fun. I loved the video that we watched and it made me cry but i told all of my nneighborhood friends and they want to see it and i want to see it again so please post it on the blog so we can see them. Today we started to read a new book called Heat. It is a baseball story. I'm trying to catch on as best as i can but i think it is going to get better as we get into it. At the beginning of the book Ramon took a lady's grocery money and took off and then the cops came and then one of them started chasing Ramon and then he said cops chase him but a cop has never caught him and a cop never will. I guess this book is ok but I'm not really into baseball so it is kind of hard for me to understand. The thing is i really want to read more of this book because i am anxious to find out what will happen next.

Today we read some more in our book. I wonder what the authors message will be, what do you think it will be? I think that the authors message will be, to not give up because, all of the time in the book they told Michael that he didn't have to stay and watch because this was is one day off, and his friends were making fun of him because he always looked at the big, brown-eyed girl. He said, "I don't think of Maria as a girl, I think of her as one of us" then they said, "Well you don't look at her the same way you look at us".

Today we read some more in our book. Michael and his friends were talking about the girl again. But this time when they went to talk to the girl, she didn't run. And then Michael and the girl got into a weird game of catch so they were throwing the ball back and forth and catching and throwing again.

Today we read some more in our book and it is getting a little better but the thing is that i am still not really getting it but, I think that the big brown-eyed girl named Ellie is El Grande's daughter.It seems like Ellie is just amazing to Michael because he allways says, "She runs pretty fast for a girl... or for anyone" and "She is pretty good at baseball for a girl...or for anyone". Ellie is just really good a baseball and she fits in with the guys because she can do pretty much anything they can do. She's good. I wonder what Michael is gonna do next...

Today we read more but it is getting better and they played a game of baseball but Justin said that he thought that the coach was Michael's dad. Justin Was pitching and Michael and Justin threw the ball and hit Michael in the head.

Today we read more & It is getting kind of boring again but i think i caught something. The woman that Michael had been staying with always said that they needed to eat but no matter how much he ate, he always stayed so skinny. There was something wrong and she knew but to fix she said "let's eat" "you don't understand" Michael said. Yes i do. I know what is best so we will eat. Michael must think there is something wrong with this woman because she thinks "food" makes everything better.

Today we read more and it is still pretty boring. I do non't really like it at all. Today we foungd out that the girl that they keep seeing or Ellie, is El Grande's daughter. That's a shock!!!...They played a game and this time El Grande was not pitching. Shocking stuff today huh?

Today we read more and they know that their father is gone. Michael knows that he is but he says he is not when they know because i think he just does not want to belive it. I know if my daddy died if i was trying to hide it and they found out, I would still probably say that he wasn't gone because i just wouldn't wanna belive it. 

Today we read more and Michael is upset. Well, he got off with a bad start with his "girl friend" Ellie. He called her a liar and that is not good. First no baseball because he has no flipping birth certificate. and now no Ellie because Michael had to call her a liar. ...

1.Learning Target: Summarize the charectaristics of a mixture, recognizing a solution as a kind of mixture. I think i am at a 4.0 at this learning target because i can talk or explain solutions as mixtures and the characteristics easily.2.Learning Target:Use the processes of filtration, sifting, magnetic attraction, evaporation, chromatography, and floatation to separate mixtures.At this learning target I think i am at about a 4.0 because I can also easily explain about separating and how to and i can separate them myself.3. Learning Target:Explain how the solute and the solvent in a solution determine the concentration. I would give myself about a 3.7 at this learning target because sometimes i get mixed up with it but i am ok at explaining it.4.Explain how temperatures change, particles size, and stirring affect the rate of dissolving. I get this one and i think i am at about a 4.0 because i understand this and it is very easy for me to understand.5.Illustrate the fact that when some substances are mixed together, they chemically combine to form a new substance that cannot be easily separated. At this learning target i think i am at a 3.0 because i am still trying to understand this one and it is kind of confusing but sometimes it is easy to understand that when you mix different things they form a whole different substance.
